Women’s Rights in Western Balkans (2020)

Women’s Rights in Western Balkans serves as a benchmark for the six Western Balkans accession countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) regarding women’s rights and influence, for comparisons over time.

The three indicators researched in this benchmark report are women in politics, gender-based violence and the situation for women human rights defenders – priority areas for The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation’s advocacy. The scope of the current edition is to update relevant 2019/20 statistics and resources for each of the indicators, in each of the six Western Balkan countries in order to determine to what extent women’s social positions have improved or worsened.

This is the fifth edition of the annual report.
