EU’s Gender Action Plan III: Halfway there? Observations at the mid-term of the EU GAP III

Throughout 2023, the EU is undertaking a mid-term review of its Gender Action Plan III—which guides EU funding, policy and political commitments regarding gender equality around the world. To inform this review, we at The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation have developed this recommendations paper covering three themes:

1. Funding and consultations with feminist civil society
2. Improved and new tracking processes for funding for gender equality
3. The need for political action and coordination on gender equality and women, peace and security

This recommendations paper has been developed from our extensive experience working with women’s rights and feminist organisations in engaging with the EU in countries around the world.
