As the EU prepares its fourth Gender Action Plan (2028–2034), this position paper outlines Kvinna till Kvinna’s recommendations for strengthening the Women, Peace and Security agenda in EU external action.
Drawing on the experiences of women’s rights organisations working in conflict-affected contexts, it highlights the need for sustainable funding for women’s rights organisations, stronger protection for women human rights defenders and women peacebuilders, meaningful participation and partnerships with women-led civil society, and stronger gender-responsive analysis, monitoring and implementation.
