Call for participants for the webinar series about feminist economics

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation with the support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Global Alliance for Tax Justice, Women Budget Group, Bretton Wood Project, Arab Watch Coalition and the Centre for Social and Economic Rights is developing a series of online webinars around feminist economics. These webinars will cover diverse issues ranging from the feminist critique of neoliberal policies in the MENA region to care economy and leading advocacy towards governments and the international financial institutions.

About the series:

The webinars will be taking place on Zoom (please see registration links below) and will be live streamed on the Kvinna Till Kvinna Youtube Channel.

The sessions will be balanced between theoretical inputs, discussions, and other interactive methods.

Who Should Attend?

We are looking for young groups, feminists, women’s rights activists from Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine who would like to contribute to the discussions with the local perspective and are willing to reproduce the gained knowledge on the local level.

Participants who have experience in feminist economics, social economic rights, gender and politics or have high motivation to learn about the topic are highly encouraged to apply. People with less experience on the topic are welcome to apply and get to know more about these topics.

Practicalities:

Language: The main language of the course will be English and there will be simultaneous interpretation in Arabic.
Requirement: Please read at least the key readings prior to each
Costs: The course will be free for all participants.
