The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation promotes women’s rights in conflict-affected areas. We do so by supporting and cooperating with more than 100 local partner organisations. Our vision is a world of peace and justice in which women have equal rights, power and opportunities.
Our partners work with gender-based violence prevention, equal participation, economic gender justice and women, peace and security. They are based in the MENA region, sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and the South Caucasus.
Kvinna till Kvinna also promotes research and does advocacy work at the national, regional and global level.
We call for women’s meaningful participation, leadership and perspectives in peacebuilding processes, which make societies more peaceful, just and equal.
We call for women’s effective and equal participation in political decision–making at all levels.
We call for economic gender justice and women’s effective and equal participation in economic decision–making at all levels as well as in economic reforms and post–conflict economic reconstruction plans.
We advocate for the right of all women and girls to a life free from violence.
We call for their sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as bodily integrity and autonomy, to be respected in conflict–affected contexts.
We call for increased and tailored funding for feminist and women’s rights movements to make them stronger. We want to maximise their potential to be influential and push back against shrinking space.
Kvinna till Kvinna regularly publish reports and information material on women’s rights, conflict resolution and peace and security. Each year, we also produce an annual report about the work of our partner organisation and the progress made during the year.
