The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation is one of the world’s leading women’s rights organisations, working in 20 countries affected by war and conflict. Our mission is to contribute to an equal and peaceful world.

In 2025, women’s rights organisations faced increasing pressure from conflict, repression and coordinated attacks on gender equality. Despite this, women continue to lead change, often at great personal risk.

This report shows what is at stake and what becomes possible when women’s rights movements receive sustained, flexible support.

3 key achievements in 2025

Standing by survivors of gender-based violence

We expanded life-saving support for women and girls affected by gender-based violence. Together with our partners, we provided case management, legal aid, counselling and safe referrals.

During the year, our partners supported 62,033 women and girls to access protection, recover, and take steps towards justice.

Defending women’s organising against the odds

As civic space shrank and funding became more uncertain, we provided flexible support to help partners stay active, connected and safe.

Our partners carried out 662 activities to resist restrictions and continue organising, even in the most fragile and restrictive contexts.

Inclusive health care in Liberia

Our Liberian partner RWGRF offered 35 participants in rural communities training on SRHR and the consequences of gender-based violence. Their goal was to provide concrete information about local services.

At the same time, our partner Sisters 4 Sisters taught 30 healthcare providers about non-discriminatory care for people of diverse sexual orientations and gender expressions.
